brighter days

Lake Tekapo with Mt Cook in the background
Days are getting brighter, however winter still feels like it is with us here in Tokyo. I liked this photo as I feel brightness from it and feel that is where my life is at this moment. Wide open with lots of potential for things to come into my life and to try out anything I desire. The beautiful torqoise of Lake Tekapo always makes me feel slightly homesick for those high country lakes and wildness that surrounds it. I know that they are always there though, like they have been around for thousands of years. Humans, however, are only alive by how one thinks and how we approach life. Some people judge this by their age, others by experience and moments. Me, well, I think the age can be a type of gauge, that can motivate us, but also can restrain us since we feel that we shouldn't act like that or think like that due to "our age".
Life is what you make it and no matter how much you think about it and have it in your head, and you think you have figured it out, you will really not know what the other person is thinking and how the situation will really turn out. Therefore, seek the moment that lies beyond and challenge something that you have always wanted to do or desire. Your life is your own, no matter what they say, or how you may feel that it isn't, at the end of the day, only you can control your own life.
Do what you want
and the rest will follow...
(me - or did someone else say this?....)

time

I sometimes contemplate about many things looking at this view from the office
These days it seems that the weather has become quite chilly again and that the season is reminding us that there is still some winter left in March. So once again, the winter woollies are pulled out to be put on and to have our heaters still on to keep us cozy and warm.
The view is very special for me, as it signifies the last part of the day and I go through my thoughts and ideas that have been occupying my mind. Some days the sunset is more beautiful than other days, and other days, the sunset is quite spectacular and you wonder if someone you know is also watching it at the same time as you are....
Time goes and you can never get it back again. One must make the most of time and the time we have now. The saddest thing is when there is an opportunity and it is not taken up.

My friend took this photo of the recent cherry blossoms blooming right now in Shinjuku..

Carpe Diem! Seize the day!

dreams and time..

Everest at sunrise

Days go by so quickly, yet some times the time feels so slow.

So much has been happening and find it sometimes I don't have time to reflect on what has been going on, yet, as time goes by, things sink in and wonder that things that have happened are meant to be and that the universe doesn't give anything to you that you can't handle. So in that sense, I find the strength to face reality and know that things that are meant to be, will find a way of sorting themselves out. A solution is there for every problem, it's just a matter of finding your way through it to the solution that presents itself.

Like the photo of Everest (taken by friend Blair), we must keep facing the sun and reaching for our dreams. There as many dreams out there and it is up to you to keep making them and reaching them. The height of Mt Everest is the height that you should always be striving for -
reaching for the stars on top of the world.
