busy days

Well, as you may have noticed, it's been a while since I last wrote in my blog. It's not that I don't feel like it, but more towards the fact of being too busy to even think about writing a couple of lines in it.

The past week was chaotic! My good friend M's father passed away on the 20th May. A wonderful and special man that I did not know, however, got an idea of how special he really was by the number of people that visited his funeral. It was a very impressive funeral with over 1300 people attending it over the two days. Held in a very beauitful Catholic church in Tokyo. He will be sadly missed indeed.

After attending the funeral this week, I had to also attend a wedding for my very good friend D. It is amazing how quickly a year goes by that is for sure. I remember D planning it in the very first stages, way back a year ago. Was a very lovely wedding and the food was really good! A lot of the wedding banquets are usually not that great, but this time, the food was quite exceptional.

In between the funeral and wedding, I also have a report to finish off (which still isn't finished!) and work has been extra busy. It sure pours when it rains. Speaking of which, it seems that Japan is heading into the rainy season. At least when the rainy season has passed, we will be able to enjoy the summer heat! I am looking forward to that.

Not a lot else has been going on, just enjoying the time with my mother over here and trying out different places to eat and shop at. She is most inquisitive of some of the smaller details, so it is always a learning experience when we go out, as I don't know all the answers and asking the locals always leads to learning something new.

Will clock in again very soon. Keep tuned!

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?
